Warranty

Our moissanites are created to withstand the test of time, and are classified as 'forever moissanites' giving you peace of mind that your luxurious piece will last well into the future. We offer a lifetime guarantee on the brilliance, fire and clarity of our moissanites. 

Our bands and settings have a 12 month jewellers warranty. 

Our warranty does not cover damage as a result of improper use, handling or care of any Capri piece. 

Our warranty does not cover theft or loss of stone. We strongly recommend you insure your capri piece with an independent insurer. 

Our liability for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to:

- The replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods (or the payment of the cost of the repair)

or

- The repair of the goods (or the payment of the cost of the repair)

and will determine, in our sole discretion, whether replacement or repair will be offered. 

Any alterations or treatments to your capri piece will void the warranty. 

The warranty is not transferable and only applied to original purchaser. 

You must retain your original receipt. 

Refunds

Please choose carefully, as each of our pieces are made to order based on your specifications. We do not accept 'change of mind' returns or refunds on any of our pieces. 

Capri Jewellers reserves the right to refuse an exchange or refund to any client if:

- There is any sign of wear of the piece

- It is made to order

- It has undergone resizing according to your measurements

- The wrong size was provided by the client

- The client has had a 'change of mind'

- Any faults can be corrected by our jeweller

- There are signs that indicate the client has mishandled or intentionally defiled with the piece. 

We ask that you please consider all details of your jewellery piece carefully before making your purchase - our team is available and happy to answer any questions and clarify any queries you may have prior to ordering. 

Resizing

If your ring is not the correct size, we can arrange a resize for you.

FAQ’s

Can you tell a diamond from a Moissanite? 

The most effective way to tell moissanite apart from a diamond is to use a loupe to look through the top, or the crown, of the jewel at an angle. You will see two slightly blurred lines that indicates a double refraction, an inherent quality of moissanite. Double refraction is easier to see in some shapes than others.

Does Moissanite lose its sparkle?

Moissanite will not lose its sparkle as time passes, unlike cubic zirconia. The clarity and colour of the stone won’t change through the years. Dirt and grime are the only common elements that may inhibit a ring’s sparkle until it is cleaned. Damaging the surface of moissanite can inhibit sparkle, as it would for any gemstone.

 

What is Moissanite?

Moissanite is a rare, naturally occurring mineral also known as silicon carbide, which was first discovered by the Nobel Prize-winning chemist, Dr. Henri Moissan, at the site of a massive meteorite strike in Arizona. This intriguing new stone was named “moissanite” in his honour.

Is Moissanite durable? 

Moissanite is one of the toughest known gemstones which makes it perfect for an engagement ring, a piece of jewellery that is usually worn every day. Studies in high pressure research have shown that moissanite stone is highly resistant to breaking and chipping.

Is Moissanite as good as a diamond?

Moissanite is the only gemstone that passes as a diamond on a handheld point test. If you want a stone that resembles a diamond without a high price, moissanite is a great option. At the end of the day, preference comes down to personal taste.

How long will my order take? 

Each Capri piece is custom made to order just for you, and takes approx 4-6 weeks to create and then ship.
